The Hoonigan Racing Team has decided to see whether the latest-and-greatest Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray could outrun a profoundly tuned Lexus GS drift car. The outcome was interesting, to say the least!
The ‘Vette packs a 6.2-liter V8 turbocharged to hit the rear wheels with 495 hp (369 kW) and 673 Nm (496 lb-ft) of torque via an eight-speed auto transmission. The Lexus has an edge in this regard, packing a 3.0-liter inline-six (2JZ!) dialed up to 600 hp (447 kW) in tandem with a six-speed stick shift. On the downside side, it weighs about 90 kilos (200 lbs) more than its North American rival.
