This 18-year-old Chevrolet Corvette 1953/2003 Commemorative Edition will hit the block in January next year. The original manufacturer has nothing to do with it: Advanced Automotive Technologies released two such cars to celebrate half a century of the Corvette model.
Curiously enough, the car was modded in 2016, which implies it came 13 years late to the party. It is a C5 Corvette underneath, but the fenders, radiator grille and headlights are new. The same goes for chrome décor, yellow brake calipers and custom wheels.
The interior is left largely as is except for a black/yellow combo trim. Pop up the hood to reveal a 5.7-liter V8 finished in the same colors, pushing 405 PS (400 hp / 298 kW) to the wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
The auction holder claims the car had been kept in a private collection for the past several years until the collector decided to sell it. The mileage is given as 17,677 miles, or 28,448 kilometers.
