The restomodding industry has been on the rise lately, and as the world sees more and more revived classics, their average quality gradually improves. This nearly 50-year-old ‘Vette may have near-stock looks, but it makes use of some of the latest tech underneath that skin.
Starting from the core of the build, the car runs on a custom frame by SRIII Motorsports and offers power-boosted rack-and-pinion steering. A mighty six-liter V8 drives the wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox, although we do not know any exact output figures. The seller has put less than 1,000 kilometers (600 miles) on it since the restoration.
A Ruby Red exterior goes splendidly with an interior dominated by light beige leather. The seats originate from a C7 Corvette, and the steering wheel, gear lever and audio system come from modern third-party vendors.
As good as the car looks, it has so far been bid up to $57,000 USD, although there are still four days until the auction closes.
