Video: 120 tornado-battered Corvettes are a sore sight, indeed

You have probably seen it by now, but if not, here is the aftermath of a destructive force of nature that ravaged the GM Bowling Green Kentucky Plant and the Corvette Museum in the United States earlier this month.

Judging by the footage, the company did a decent job salvaging parts and even drivetrain units that it could reuse in the future. We can imagine all operational microchips extracted as well, for obvious reasons.

The remaining cars are a sad sight, though. All 120 will be scrapped. The fire that followed the tornado caused the roof of the main plant building to cave in; luckily, none of the employees was hurt.

Chevrolet is conducting repairs that will likely stretch well into 2022. Just how the disaster affected the production schedule remains to be announced.
