1954 Chevy Nomad replica goes up on sale

Chevrolet has only used the Nomad trademark a few times throughout the years, beginning 67 years ago with a concept car that looked like a cross between a C1 Corvette front end and a two-door wagon body. That one never went into mass production, but Advanced Automotive Technologies felt like reviving the idea back in 2004.

The Michigan-based tuner took a 2004 Corvette and sculpted a Nomad-style body for it. A total of six such cars were built in total, two out of them finished in red. One is on sale right now for $129,995.

Each vehicle comes powered by an LS1 V8 with 354 PS (349 hp / 260 kW). A six-speed manual transmission drives the rear axle. The interior enjoys a variety of upgrades over the stock trim, including bucket seats, a Bose audio system, climate control and a heads-up display.
