Redditor Scifieartist909 has posted photos of his fourth-gen Chevrolet Corvette that he turned into a futuristic work of art on wheels. Let’s have a look at the project that took nearly a decade to bring to life.
The tuner started working on his 1989 C4 ‘Vette eight years ago, when he was only 20 years old. He even spent some time at a car college to learn the basics of car design. The new bodywork was rendered in a 3D graphic application and had multiple strong inspirations that you can see if you look closely. For instance, the rear end resembles that of the Alfa Romeo Bat 9, while the front fascia reminds of the Ferrari Sergio and The Aston Martin Vulcan at the same time. Certain parts look carried over from the video game Cyberpunk 2077.
Most of the body panels are made of Alumalight, but some carbon fiber can be found in the back as well. The redesigned Corvette first hit the road in 2020 and only has 644 km (400 miles) on the counter so far.
The car still uses its original 5.7-liter V8, but Scifieartist909 says he plans to make it full-on electric in the future.
