Mid-engined Chevy Corvette runs faster in a full-body carbon suit

While all Corvette fans are eagerly awaiting the coming of the new Z06, a unique C8 crossed the auction block in the United States outfitted with every OEM option and a Pandem widebody kit on top of that.

The car received a front splitter extension, purpose-designed side skirts, an enormous rear wing, an aggressive-looking rear diffuser and boldly flared fenders. The tuner put three-piece forged wheels inside, sized 19 inches in diameter at the front and 20 inches at the rear.

Apparently not satisfied with just the body kit, the owner ordered an all-carbon roof from Sigala Designs, and proceeded to install air-ride suspension and a Borla exhaust system.

The interior and the engine stayed stock. The coupe is currently available with around 20,000 miles (32,000 km) under its belt and an asking price of just under $160,000. It would perhaps be easier for us to justify the price if rumors did not claim that the new Z06 would cost half as much.
