SlyStyle Performance, a tuning firm based in Krefeld, Germany, has produced a luxurious and attention-grabbing body kit for the C8 Corvette, betting on a combination of carbon-fiber and glass-fiber reinforced plastic parts.
Included in the kit are a front splitter with side winglets, side sill extensions, fin-like moldings, a massive rear spoiler and a matching diffuser. According to the team, the whole set generates at least 130 kilograms (286 pounds) of extra downforce at higher speeds.
In its ‘normal’ form, the new Corvette makes use of a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 capable of 482 PS (475 hp / 355 kW) and 613 Nm (452 lb-ft) of torque. This project involves boosting the engine in three stages, but there is no mention of new power and torque numbers yet. SlyStyle does mention that the sports car now accelerates 100-200 km/h (62-124 mph) half a second faster than before.
