The mid-engined C8 Corvette Stingray is by no means underpowered as is, but ProCharger makes it capable of 735 PS (725 hp / 541 kW).
To implement this level of performance, the tuner introduces an advanced supercharger with 7.5 psi of boost pressure. Using high-octane gas is a requirement, as is the installation of an air-to-water intercooler, aluminum brackets, new dash gauges and a thoroughly recalibrated ECU. As a bonus, the engine learns to switch off half of its cylinders automatically in Cruise Control mode when the extra power is not needed.
As an alternative, you can get a 5-psi boost version of the tuning, which gets the engine to 674 PS (665 hp / 496 kW). The price difference is minimal: you pay $17.5k USD for the Stage I and throw in an extra $1k for Stage 2.
The rest is all about options. These include a low-noise gear assembly, an alloy air intake system, assorted sports-grade engine bay components and a couple of carbon-fiber covers. Regrettably, ProCharger neglected to mention any actual acceleration times in the press release.
