A collection of 15 C4-generation Chevrolet Corvettes accumulated by a single fan with low mileage and identical red exteriors is set to go on sale in the USA in early December.
The American owner bought his first C4 ‘Vette in 1985 and kept it until 1992. He must have loved it, because he proceeded to buy another 13 such cars in 2012–2013, and added two more to the collection the following year.
The selection represents fourth-generation Corvettes from all model years, both in the standard spec and the elusive ZR1 variant (see video). Since the production began, the entry specification has increased its power output by almost 50 percent – from 208 to 304 horsepower.
Some examples are manual while others are automatic, and some have a contrsting black roof. None has more than 45,000 km (28,000 miles) under its belt, with the least used example having only around 15,800 km (9,800 miles).
