Have you ever wanted to see a stock Chevy Corvette abused on open terrain, drifted in a grass field and launched from a ramp? No? Well, now you may have to, because YouTuber Street Speed 717 did all of the above and it doesn’t look like anyone else is eager to try.
The adventure begins with a tame enough ride down some dirt roads, but then the mid-engined sports car is forced to cook up some donuts and drive over a fallen log. On its very first attempt, the ‘Vette gets stuck dead on the log. It almost looks like it wasn’t made for this sort of thing, a consideration that the vlogger proceeds to valiantly disregard.
Once freed from its prison, the car tries descending a hill. In the end, it leaps from an improvised ramp and the video stops there. We do not get to see the landing, but the author promises to show us more next time, so we assume he is in reasonably good health regardless of what happened.
Speaking of which: the last time Street Speed 717 frolicked out in the open like this, he ended up paying a U.S. $53,000 fine for the damage to the environment. We are honestly looking forward to another episode of that.
