Another vintage-flavored Chevrolet 3100 restomod is ready to rumble

In the United States, $80,000 easily buys you a nice sports car like the Chevy Corvette, but if your ambition is to drive a real eye-catcher and head-turner, then nothing beats restomods like this cure Chevrolet 3100. The bright green truck is 72 years old, completely restored and up for grabs in North Carolina right now for the above specified amount.

The restorer disassembled the truck completely and replaced all the worn parts, removing some of the old-fashioned trim in the process. The bed ended with neat-looking birch lining, and 18-inch chrome wheels slotted into the arches shod in Kumho tires.

As is common in such projects, a peek under the hood reveals a 5.3-liter LS3 V8 mill mated to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission. The standard output amounts to 435 PS (429 hp / 320 kW), but we suspect that it could be higher in this project thanks to a number of engine upgrades mentioned in the listing.

The interior deserves a separate mention. It is awash with soft beige leather and looks like something straight out of the 1950s. Replaced parts include the steering wheel, the shifter, the dash gauges, the seats, and the FM/cassette player.
