The YouTube team of DragTimes has decided to see how the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 would fare against a McLaren Artura in a quarter-mile acceleration race.
Both are high-performance sports cars, but while the Corvette makes do with a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8, the Artura benefits from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 assisted by twin electric motors. While the C8 Z06 is by no means underpowered at 670 PS (662 hp / 494 kW) and 623 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque, the Artura inches out an advantage with 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft).
For the transmission, the American car uses an eight-speed dual-clutch design. The Brit goes for an SSG-Seamless Shift with the same dumber of gears and clutches. Both send the torque to the rear axle.
Knowing this, which one do you think won the drag race?
