The YouTube channel Sport Auto has posted a video showing the completion of Germany’s Hockenheim GP racetrack from the point-of-view perspective of the driver. The car is a Corvette Z06 C8, and piloting it is Uwe Sener.
The lap time sets no new records or anything, but is still solid for a production car.
In Europe, the Corvette Z06 utilizes a 5.5-liter V8 with a modified exhaust system capping its output at 645 PS (636 hp / 474 kW) and 595 Nm (439 lb-ft) of torque. As a result, the Euro spec takes nearly a second longer to launch than the North American one. Still, the Z06 manages to complete a lap in 1 minute 49.1 seconds – not bad at all for a stock sports car.
