Lego Icons, a construction set collection primarily targeting adult enthusiasts, has been complemented with a new item – a 1,210-piece brick set that you can assemble into a 1961 Chevrolet Corvette C1 lookalike. It costs $150 in the USA and goes on sale on August 1, 2023.
The scale replica sports a red body with white accents at the sides and a black interior. When fully assembled, it is about 32 cm (12.5 inches) long, 14 cm (5.5 in) wide and 10 cm (4 in) tall.
Like other Icons sets, it looks fairly lifelike and richly detailed with a removable top, a rotating steering wheel and parts that you can open and close – the doors, the hood and the trunk. The steering rod and the engine cooling fan are functional, too. There is a radio receiver inside, a transmission lever and pedals. As for the license plates, there are whopping three of them included – take your pick.
