ProCharger ramps up Corvette C8 Convertible output to 1,000+ PS

Around a year ago, ProCharger started equipping the latest, mid-engined generation of the Chevrolet Corvette with its own supercharger upgrade kit (see video). It was originally only designed to fit the coupe version of the car, but a new version has now been released specifically for the convertible.

From the engineering standpoint, the biggest challenge was squeezing the supercharger along with all the other required internals under the hood at the rear end. While the C8 Corvette Coupe has enough room there, its droptop sibling is a different story entirely. The tuners had to design and fabricate a number of parts from scratch, including an intake manifold, an air-to-water intercooler and a passive liquid cooling system. In the end, they not only managed to fit everything inside but also left a bit of emergency luggage space.

The default output of the HTC Stage II kit is 725 PS (715 hp / 533 kW) under 7.5 psi of boost pressure. Those willing to squeeze the most out of their ‘Vettes may opt for a custom tuning preset and get more than 1,000 horsepower (750 kilowatts).

ProCharger proudly points out that every car gets painstakingly calibrated to ensure smooth and predictable handling and acceleration. As for the prices, you will have to ask them directly.
