Heirs to a recently deceased car collector in Alabama, USA are parting with his 23 vehicles. Most are Chevrolet Corvettes from across a number of generations. All exhibits are in prime condition and will be offered as separate lots.
Earl Trammell passed away in 2022. His relatives say he had stayed an avid can enthusiast throughout his entire life. Aside from collecting vehicles as a hobby, he regarded them as valuable investment targets.
Out of the 23 examples on sale, 7 have 200 km (125 miles) or less on their odometers. For example, there is a 25-year-old Corvette Indy Pace Car with just 37 km (23 miles) under the belt. The oldest ‘Vette of the bunch is a 1971 Stingray Coupe with 2,600 km (1,615 miles) behind it.
Some well-used examples are on sale, too. For instance, a 1965 Ford Mustang cabriolet has nearly 150,000 km (93,000 miles) on the counter, while a 1956 Chevrolet 210 has crossed the 100,000-km (62,000-mile) mark.
The only non-U.S. vehicle in the collection is a 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S.
Considering the state of the cars and the fact that some of them are rare and limited editions, the bidding will likely be rather lively. The auction holder provides no estimates, though, and it is unknown how much the collection cost its late owner.
