Canada-based car customization shop Caravaggio Corvettes is aware of many Corvette fans being dissatisfied with the overly complicated exterior of the C8 generation. It has now produced what basically amounts to an all-new body for that car, but keep in mind that it costs more than the ‘Vette itself.
The package is called Unica Series 1 and starts from U.S. $135,000 before options. A stock Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will set you back $112,700.
The car gets a new front bumper with pronounced air intakes, slim horizontal bars and small winglets. The sides also look tamer than stock thanks to the removal of the boomerang-shaped air vent inserts. The sill extensions are new, too, and styled to match the winglets at the front.
The rear end gets a redesigned bumper, a built-in rear wing and a simpler diffuser composed of fewer parts. Some of these components can be ordered in naked carbon fiber. On the whole, the car does look smoother and cleaner than stock, but it retains quite a bit of aggression.
Caravaggio Corvettes plans to build only 30 such cars based on the standard version (Stingray) and its performance counterpart (Z06). Aside from that, all customers may opt for interior modifications, an engine boost, performance brakes and an exclusive wheel set. The plan is to make sure no two cars are the same.
