Chevrolet has shared a teaser vid with a taste of the engine roar of the next Corvette ZR1 supercar. It is officially the marque’s most powerful ‘Vette on the lineup, and the premiere is expected to take place in the summer.
It is speculated that the ZR1 spec will utilize a racing-spec 5.5-liter V8 engine twin-turbocharged to deliver around 850 PS (838 hp / 625 kW) to the wheels. However, the shades of blue in the teaser imagery put us in mind of a part-electric system.
Aside from the juicy engine soundtrack, the video also reveals the rear end of the ZR1 with a large fixed rear wing. Other aerodynamic upgrades are likely present, too.
