Alabama-based Paul Atkins Hot Rods and Interiors has made a name for itself restoring and modifying rare 1st- and 2nd-generation Chevy Corvette Split Windows. Earlier this week, company owner Paul Atkins posted another such restomod for sale at Barrett-Jackson.
The 1963 Corvette C2 seen here was transferred to a completely new chassis fabricated for it by SRIII Motorsports. The entire body and suspension were overhauled and a new 6.2-liter LT4 V8 was put in the engine bay. Hooked onto a six-speed manual transmission with a two-disc clutch and a rear differential, it sends 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) to the wheels and generates up to 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.
Vivid red leather in the cabin provides a welcome contrast to the understated grey exterior. Modern niceties on board include a Dakota Digital dashboard, a Vintage Air HVAC, and a premium audio system.
