41-year-old, barely driven Chevy El Camino pops up on sale

The El Camino is a rather unconventional – yet very convenient – mix between a coupe and a pickup truck. Its production had taken place in 1967 through 1987, and surviving examples cost pretty penny nowadays. We wonder how much this El Camino Gas Monkey will fetch…

The tuner car became a celebrity after starring in Fast N’ Loud, a U.S. program aired on and Discovery and DMAX. Talented mechanic Aaron Kaufman supervised its creation prior to opening his own tuning shop, the Gas Monkey Garage.

The model year 1980 truck is now up for grand in the UK with the price unannounced. The seller keeps the full list of modifications private, but it is official that the car is completely restored and in top-notch condition outside and inside. A Chevrolet LS3 V8 toils under the hood, outputting around 600 hp (450 kW) to the wheels thanks to a Mast Motorsport tune. The mileage is under 1,000 miles (<1,610 km).
