This engraved 1958 Chevy Impala is pure madness on wheels!

Few of us have heard the name of Rohan Izawa Art Design. The talented team from Japan engraves cars, sometimes teaming up with the likes of Kuhl Racing, but never does complete restoration or tuning. Too bad – the vision is surely there!

What you see here is perhaps one of their most impressive works to date. Every square inch of this 1958 Chevrolet Impala is covered with intricate engravings that come in a dazzling variety of patterns and shapes. Several layers of clear lacquer coating ensure corrosion resistance while also bolstering the 3D-like effect from the light falling onto the car body. We’re guessing that the work took several thousand hours to complete, but the result looks well worth it for exclusivity value alone.

The interior and the tech stay unchanged, though the suspension is considerably lower than stock.

At the last year’s Tokyo Auto Salon, the retro ride won the Best Import Car Award. As for us, we surely won’t mind seeing more works of art from Rohan Izawa Art Design!
