The donk car aesthetic presumes showy looks and goofy charms, but this Chevrolet Impala convertible takes things a bit further with its German interior transplant.
On the outside, the car looks like a head-turner with its shrill light blue paintjob, slammed suspension and wheels that look like they could be 26 or so inches across. Still, it is the cabin that really steals the spotlight here.
A look inside reveals that there is barely any stock Impala left – the entire trim and most of the equipment, notably including the seats, the transmission tunnel and the center console, either originates from a Porsche Panamera or copycats the style of that car with painstaking precision. The video doesn’t clarify whether any of those buttons actually work as intended, and we would imagine extra wiring to be necessary before those seats could regain their heating and ventilation functions. Still, the overall result is impressive.
Rounding things off is a bizarre steering wheel with spokes inspired by those of the car’s own four wheels. Power is sourced from a swapped-in supercharged Chevy V8, and while we don’t know how much it produces, similar projects often manage to squeeze around 1,000 hp (750 kW) out of this engine model (LSA).
