Building a hardcore dragster out of an ancient Chevy Nova is a feat in its own right; making it street-legal takes things to another level still. Check it out, you will be impressed!
The tuner swaps the old coupe for a Rudd Racing V8, a high-end mill that enables it to cover a quarter of a mile in 7.26 seconds, despite 1,700+ kg (3,800 lbs) of weight. The odometer gauge hits 283 km/h (176 mph) at the end of the drag strip.
From the outside, the car looks like a street racer’s dream: no hood, a wide front apron, aerodynamic deflectors down both sides, and a wild construct at the rear end vaguely reminiscent of a rear wing. Take a peek inside, and the extra-sturdy roll cage will tell you that at least this driver clearly realizes the danger he is in when dealing with this kind of power.
