Chevrolet Silverado goes from truck to wagon thanks to MAD Industries

It’s been a while since we last heard from California-based tuner MAD Industries, but it now turns out the team has been busy all along. Meet Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Widebody, a truck given an SUV/wagon-style body shape.

The starting point here is a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado RST Crew Cab that comes with the Z71 Offroad Package installed. Its stock 5.3-liter V8 churns out 355 hp (265 kW) and up to 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) of torque.

The new cargo bed cover is called Concept Cap, and it comes from a vendor named LEER. Fitted with brake lights, keyless access and a slide-out platform, it essentially turns the bed into a practical watertight trunk section.

The LED bar above the windshield stems from Rigid Industries, there are Air Design wheel arch extensions and AMP Research Powerstep boards down the sides, and Eibach springs for suspension. The truck/wagon rides on Hardline Wheels measuring 20×9 inches and takes advantage of a Gibson Performance exhaust system.
