Callaway puts a supercharger into the Silverado Signature Edition

U.S. tuner Callaway has devised a series of performance improvements for the high-end Silverado truck, essentially increasing its power output by almost 50%.

If you need a reminder, the Signature Edition normally packs a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 rated at 426 PS (420 hp / 313 kW) and 625 Nm (461 lb-ft) of torque. Once fitted with a n upgrade supercharger, a high-flow air intake, a less restrictive exhaust, an intercooler and a software upgrade, it ascends to 610 PS (602 hp / 450 kW) and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft).

Tuned like this, the Silverado only needs 4.3 seconds for the standard sprint instead of 5.4, leaving behind even the much sportier-looking Camaro V6. It also covers a quarter-mile distance in 12.5 seconds instead of 13.9.

The kit also includes a carbon-fiber engine cover, a radiator grille, aluminum sill inserts, pedal plates made of the same metal, and an Alcantara cover for the steering wheel hub. Rounding off the list are 20- and 22-inch wheel sets featuring a pattern of nine and ten straight spokes, respectively.
