2022 Chevrolet Silverado gets upgrades for the street and the wilderness

Specialty Vehicle Engineering has announced a couple of special editions of the 2022 Chevy Silverado, limited to just 50 units of each in North America. You can already ask for the Yenko/SC edition in GM dealerships.

The asphalt-loving Yenko/SC Silverado can be easily recognized by its sporty stripes running down the sides, as well as a suspension lowered by 2 inches (50 mm) at the front and 5 inches (127 mm) in the back. For its part, the Yenko/SC Silverado Off-Road enjoys a 4-inch (102-mm) suspension lift on both axles, special exterior graphics, and robust wheels with beadlock protection.

Powering both variants is the same 6.2-liter supercharged V8 boosted to 862 PS (850 hp / 634 kW) and 1,084 Nm (800 lb-ft) of torque. Modifications are quite extensive, some of the highlights being a forged crankshaft, aluminum pistons, and perforated cylinder heads. The transmission is reinforced in both versions to withstand the giant torque.
