Check out this wild custom car based on a 30-year-old pickup truck. It scrapes the road with its belly, lacks any kind of top and slams the wheels with 625 PS (616 hp / 460 kW). Impressed already? Hold your horses: there is much more to be discovered.
First, if you wondered why the front apron looked suspicious, that’s because it stems from a Cadillac Escalade. The same applies to Toyota Supra taillights in the back. The suspension is hydraulic, and it automatically raises the truck whenever it needs to go, dropping it back down when parked.
Second, as you must have noticed, the limo isn’t only riding low – it is also stretched a fair bit. Here comes a surprise: it really isn’t! The body is still exactly 6.7 meters (22 feet) long, but appears much longer thanks to the chopped top and the slammed stance.
Finally, all open-top conversions require the car frame to be reinforced to compensate for the deleted roof and pillars. Add this to the fact that this is a Heavy Duty truck, and you are probably looking at a cabriolet weighing north of two metric tons (4,500 lbs). Wrong again! The custom ride is as light as 1,400 kilos (3,100 lbs) with the liquids in.
Unsurprisingly, the owner of the Chevy Crew Cab Dually Krew Kut says he would sooner sell every other car in his possession than part with this one.
