Chevrolet has only recently introduced the off-road-capable Silverado ZR2, but it seems that the pickup will not stay at the top of the lineup for long.
A short and unrevealing teaser video heralds the coming of a new special edition called the ZR2 Bison. Like its predecessor – the 2019 Colorado ZR2 Bison – it is being developed by American Expedition Vehicles (AEV).
Like the Colorado, the new Silverado ZR2 Bison will come equipped with robust underbody protection. Other likely modifications include a redesigned front bumper with a winch attached, a rear bumper with towing eyes, a two-inch (50mm) suspension lift, and unique wheels.
The standard Silverado ZR2 comes powered by a 6.2-liter V8 capable of 426 PS (420 hp / 313 kW) and 624 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque. The Bison can be expected to have the same power rating.
Chevrolet plans to introduce the Bison in summer and start deliveries later this year.
