An 18-year-old Chevrolet Silverado with a Cadillac Escalade EXT front end grafted to it, a stretched bed and four dually wheels at the back is up for grabs in the USA right now. It packs around 1,445 PS and goes for a relatively modest amount of $46,000.
Previously exhibited at a SEMA show, the truck garnered mixed reviews for its appearance. Some criticized it for being bold, but not original or exciting enough. We will leave the taste matters to you and just point out that the project car has been modded so thoroughly, it probably now consists of third-party parts more than original ones.
The main highlight – for us, at least – is a monstrous 8.7-liter V8 mill under the hood equipped with twin turbochargers and pumping out an estimated 1,445 PS (1,425 hp / 1,062 kW). An Alison 5-speed M/T sends the torque to the back, but we are not sure whether one or two axles are driven.
The interior makes use of an off-white leather trim, a digital dashboard, and a Kenwood audio system. The steering wheel stays stock and looks frankly uninspiring against the rest of the cabin. On the upside, the suspension uses air cushions and all ten wheels are custom 22-inch alloys.
At the beginning of the year, the same seller tried to sell the SEMA beast for $65,000, but no one came forward.
