Chevy shows Silverado EV towing a camper

The testing of the new Silverado EV continues in the latest video from Chevrolet, which shows it towing a large campervan.

The battery pickup outfitted to the Work Truck specification tows a trailer weighing 7,700 pounds (3,493 kilograms), the manufacturer points out. The maximum permissible load for this spec is actually 7,990 pounds, or 3,623 kilos. Higher specs are even better equipped with a capacity for 10,000 lbs (4,536 kg). Finally, the company promises that the upcoming WT version will be rated for 20,000 pounds (9,072 kg) of towing capacity.

Finally, we were able to learn some specs. Specifically, the frunk is 303 liters (10.7 cubic feet) large, and the ground clearance can be as high as 227 mm (8.9 inches) if you opt for the Silverado EV RST off-road spec.
