The Ford F-150 is a best-seller in the pickup truck world, and so is its hardcore Raptor R version. The Chevy Silverado, on the other hand, sorely lacks such a version. The PaxPower team felt that it, too, deserved to be competitive.
The tuning package is dubbed Jackal and can turn your truck into a worthy rival of the best Ford and RAM offerings. The body becomes around 200 mm (8 inches) wider, the fenders become flared to accommodate 35- or 37-inch tires, an off-road bumper appears and you can select from multiple available hood designs. There are also at least three distinct 17-inch wheel designs – check out the gallery.
The suspension benefits from new control arms widening the track by 150 mm (6 inches) for more stable overland driving. King Racing shocks and new springs let you flexibly adjust the ride height and other parameters depending on your needs.
The Jackal kit is obtainable for all main specs of the Silverado, but those who want a true nemesis of the F-150 and Ram TRX should probably opt for a supercharger package as well. It drives the stock 6.2-liter V8 to 659 PS (650 hp / 485 kW) and 881 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque thanks to improved cooling, a high-flow air intake system and other modifications.
Prices for the kit start from $24,950. The supercharger upgrade comes in at another $12,450.
