The design department of General Motors has shared a couple of images showing a smaller-sized pickup truck that the company doesn’t have on the lineup yet. If it ever gets greenlit, it may slot in just below the latest Silverado EV.
The truck on the sketch sports a dynamic-looking front end not unlike that of the new Corvette, with a sporty hood imitation, air intakes and headlights contrasting against a brush guard, skid plates and towing eyes. The radiator grille is absent, a clear indication of an electric powertrain inside.
Another stainless-steel bumper can be found at the rear end. The tailgate sports a brake light strip. Other notable features include high ground clearance, long front doors and rather unusually styled c-pillars.
The battery-powered Chevrolet Silverado EV (shown in the rest of the gallery and the video) debuted in early 2022 as a rival of the Ford F-150 Lightning. It received a considerable design overhaul and power options up to 673 PS (664 hp / 495 kW). In May, the company announced that the actual driving range was tuning out to be greater than anticipated and that the Silverado EV could become the class leader worldwide in terms of miles per charge.
