Those in the market for a Chevy-badged pickup rivaling the Ram TRX in terms of raw power should consider PaxPower’s latest offer: an extensively tuned Silverado for around $105,000. Let’s see what’s included.
The package is called Jackal and comprises both aesthetic and technical upgrades. There is a widebody kit that adds 102 mm (4 inches) of width on both sides, a 2-inch (51-mm) suspension lift and a set of 17-inch off-road wheels. Tires come in 35- and 37-inch sizes, and the suspension travel at the front end amounts to roughly 307 mm (12 inches) thanks to new shocks and control arms. A Borla exhaust system rounds off the aesthetic part of the project with a juicier soundtrack for the engine.
A supercharger kit for the Silverado’s standard V8 is separately available. It is based on a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger and lets the mill produce 659 PS (650 hp / 485 kW) and 881 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque, an impressive improvement over the stock 426 PS (420 hp / 313 kW) and 610 Nm (450 lb-ft).
Ordering the packages separately from the $70,000+ truck will cost you $19,950 for the Jackal kit (visuals/suspension) and $15,450 for the engine kit.
