Around four months ago, wheel manufacturer Vossen introduced a new ultra-concave wheel called the HF6-5 (see video). The company has now fitted a set onto a Chevy Silverado 1500 to let us know what it looks like on a truck.
The wheel belongs to the Hybrid Forged series and features six petal-like spoke pairs accentuated with a pale gold highlight. A closer look reveals six more pairs of straight spokes half-concealed behind the ‘petals’. The sophisticated construction ensures that the maximum permissible load stays the same despite a significant weight reduction compared to the original wheel set.
Prices for the HF6-5 start from $650 in the United States, but the example pictured here is a larger and more expensive option sized 22 inches in diameter and 12 inches wide. The tire used is Atlander Roverclaw.
