The first spy shots of the facelifted Chevrolet Silverado HD revealed little besides thick camo and fake panels. These are much more informative, highlighting subtle exterior changes and – more importantly – a new cabin.
There is no explicit indication that the truck is a Silverado HD, but visible notches in the taillights and bulges on the front fenders where High Country badges usually reside are both dead giveaways.
But the most interesting part – for us, at least – is the cabin, where the center console has been redesigned from the ground up. The cupholders now sport a side-by-side layout, freeing up more space for storage compartments and niches. The middle armrest and the box are also different.
Rumor has it the new Silverado HD may get a power boost for its 6.6-liter Duramax diesel. The mill currently produces 451 PS (445 hp / 332 kW) and 1234 Nm (910 lb-ft) of torque. The rumored new output of 507 PS (500 hp / 373 kW) and 1,355 Nm (1,000 lb-ft) may bring the truck closer to its Ford and Ram competitors.
