Chevrolet has rolled out a refreshed Silverado HD, landing it with exterior improvements, a more up-to-date cabin and a beefier engine.
You can recognize the facelift version by its new radiator grille, headlights with vertical anti-fog lights and C-shaped DRLs, a different front bumper, 22-inch wheels and a new air intake in the hood cover.
Inside, only the higher trim levels are visibly different with their 12.3-inch digital dash and 13.4-inch infotainment display. Other than that, a wireless phone charger is the only notable addition.
The eight-cylinder diesel under the hood still has 6.6 liters of displacement, but various optimizations bring its output to 477 PS (470 hp / 351 kW) and 1,320 Nm (974 lb-ft) of torque. This is roughly 25 hp (18 kW) and 88 Nm (65 lb-ft) more than before the facelift. Trailer assistance is improved, and new driving aids should ensure safety.
A high-end ZR2 spec is also underway for the Silverado HD, but its specifications remain to be announced.
