Australian Chevrolet SS finds a devoted fan in the USA

The Chevrolet SS, a.k.a. the four-door Corvette, was a flop on the U.S. market with only 13,000 units sold in five years. Boring appearance combined with a steep price tag were both to blame for this, but just look how much better it could be with a little tuning!

The car shown here has a supercharger, ARH cylinder heads, a Varex XForce exhaust, and a fuel system optimized for E85. The build delivers 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW), making it an excellent everyday driver AND a track tool.

Exterior mods include 20-inch ACE wheel finished in matte black, acid-green Brembo brakes, and Michelin PS4S tires. Note also the Holden badges replacing Chevrolet logos all around. This is not a coincidence: the owner of the car ordered these from Australia to reflect the fact that it was originally known on that market as the Holden Commodore VF.
