A collection of 230 old cars goes on sale in Canada

A car collection built up by farmer and secret car aficionado Andre Moizard in Canada is up for grabs on an online auction right now, offering over 230 vehicles of different types, spanning different market segments and eras.

Apparently, Andre Moizard became a fan of cars in his childhood. He began by simply repairing those vehicles that broke down at the farm, but later started buying new ones. He did not restrict himself to a specific theme or genre, amassing European and American cars in his collection, light passenger cars and SUVs, trucks and special vehicles (including even fire trucks and hearses). There are even a couple of tractors and bikes in the mix.

According to the successors to the now-departed Mr. Moizard, they knew about his fad but never had an idea about its sheer scale, largely because he had distributed his vast car fleet all around his sprawling farm. Only with his demise did his wife and children count the vehicles – and realized there were over 230 of them in total.

At the time of writing, a 75-year-old, well-kept, 300-hp Chevrolet Stylemaster is the highest-trading lot at just $27,000. The rest are even cheaper – many because they are common, others because they need costly restoration or repairs.
