Covid may have prevented General Motors and Chevrolet from launching the facelifted 2021 Traverse in production this spring, but the old SUV still received a couple of special editions.
All buyers of the Traverse LS and LT trims may now opt for either the Sport Edition or the Midnight Edition package. The former boasts blacked-out parts such as wheels, front grille, roof rails and badges, and the latter has the same parts plus jet-black body.
As for the Redline Edition, which is quite popular and responsible for 60 percent of all higher trim level sales, the company confirms that it will stay in production throughout 2021 as well.
The 2022 Chevrolet Equinox will also be getting the “sported-up” RS version as promised, but coronavirus disruption forced the manufacturer to postpone its launch until next fall.
