Chevrolet has officially introduced the next generation of its sporty Traverse RS crossover. It isn’t a pure facelift this time around, either.
According to the manufacturer, the new Chevrolet Traverse RS is now safer to drive than ever before thanks to some new safety-oriented features. It also offers the largest trunk compartment in its class – up to 2,780 liters if you fold the back seat row.
On the outside, it sports a new radiator grille, stylish roof railings, and 20-inch wheels. All of these are painted black.
More importantly, however, it now comes with a 2.0-liter supercharged engine with 257 hp and 400 Nm of torque. In its base version, the car has LED headlights, a modern infotainment center, leather-draped seats, and a number of other useful features for added comfort and safety.
The new 2018 Chevrolet Traverse RS can be purchased in the U.S.A. starting at $43,095.
