Nuitron, a budding automaker based in China, has revealed a battery SUV called the NV, sized slightly smaller than the Audi Q7.
The vehicle has impressive LED headlights, pull-out door handles and a silver pillar with a battery indicator built into it. At 4,915 mm long, 1,962 mm wide and 1,745 mm tall with 2,910 mm of wheelbase, it dwarfs even its own 20-inch wheels.
Found inside are 15.6-inch touchscreen display, a dual-spoke steering wheel with a squared-off rim, and small touch controls for the HVAC found next to side air vents. The equipment list is quite extensive and includes a panoramic roof 1.7 square meters large, among other things.
Technical details haven’t arrived yet. Nuitron claims the model will be available in all-electric and range-extender hybrid variants. The former will be able to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.9 seconds.
Nuitron’s positioning is that of a premium EV manufacturer capable of competing with Nio and Xpeng. It invested half a billion USD into making cars this year alone. A factory is being constructed in Guangzhou right now where it plans to assemble up to 180,000 vehicles annually. Sales are penciled in for September, but all pricing details remain to be revealed.
