It is hard to predict just how popular a four-door version of the Dodge Challenger would be. The one thing that is certain is, its acceleration and steering performance would deteriorate dramatically from the addition of another seat row. Therefore, no one would probably consider a mod like this for real.
A car enthusiast decided to approach things from a different perspective when he took this 2004 Chrysler 300 and tuned it to look a bit like the Challenger. Oh, the benevolent intentions...
If you asked us to name an ever worse candidate for a Dodge Challenger-themed conversion, we would frankly have no idea. Even measured by the standards of bulky, city-bound luxury cars, the 2004 Chrysler 300 came out particularly clumsy, heavy and lackluster in general. Add to this the steering performance of a river barge, and you will get a fairly good understanding of what we are talking about here. Granted, modern Chrysler 300’s look and drive a fair deal better, but that is another story.
It is hard to arrive at any kind of summary with this four-door Challenger wannabe. From a purely technical standpoint, the work is actually decent. When considered in terms of style and design, however, it is the very definition of a Frankencar, an Irish bull of a motorized vehicle.
