Chrysler says goodbye to the 300C

The 70-year-long history of Chrysler 300 is nearing its end, but before the model heads to its permanent retirement, the automaker will release a power-boosted 300C Final Edition.

The last 300 of them all comes equipped with a 6.4-liter V8 rated at 492 PS (485 hp / 362 kW) and 644 Nm (475 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is the same as the one currently being installed in the Dodge Charger Scat Pack farewell edition. Both cars use an eight-speed automatic transmission.

According to Chrysler, the new 300C needs 4.3 seconds to reach 97 km/h (60 mph) and does its quarter-mile run in 12.4 seconds. The top speed lies at 257 km/h (159.7 mph).

Elsewhere, the special edition boasts 20-inch forged rims with red Brembo calipers behind the spokes. The suspension and the exhaust system are adjustable, and there is a limited-slip differential for torque vectoring.

You will recognize the final Chrysler 300C by its carbon-fiber exterior accents and badges, as well as by black leather seats with silver stitching inside.

Only 2,000 units will be made and sold from $55,000 before options.
