The last V8-packing Chrysler 300C leaves production

A farewell ceremony for the V8-powered Chrysler 300C V8 has been held in Ontario, Canada, marking the end of an era. An all-electric successor to the iconic model is coming soon, but it may receive a different name.

The final 300C example produced was finished in Velvet Red and belonged in a batch of 2,200 Farewell Edition vehicles. The other modifications are likewise set to leave the production for good before the end of the month.

The 300C entered the market in early 2004 as a contemporary take on the original C-300 model dating back to the year 1955. In late 2010, the second generation debuted based on a mildly updated RWD chassis.

The first-gen 300C was additionally available in a wagon body style. It used to ship with V6 and V8 engines sporting between 2.7 and 6.4 liters of displacement, as well as a 3.0-liter Mercedes-Benz diesel.
