Chrysler has published the first teaser image of a crossover that it will be bringing to the New York International Auto Show. Called “Airflow” just like its conceptual version revealed in January, it is meant to preview the company’s vision of an eco-friendlier future.
Based on the teaser, the car will be getting a faux front grille looking slightly different from that of the concept car (no badge, different LED arrangement). The back panel for the LEDs is also now larger and has a sculpted surface.
No technical parameters have been revealed so far. The concept from January came based on the Stellantis’ STLA Medium architecture and used a pair of 150kW electric motors. It had around 640 km (400 miles) of driving range, according to the manufacturer’s own estimates.
Chrysler intends to start sales of its first electric SUV in three years, and complete its all-electric lineup by 2028. The new concept car will probably look closer to a finished product than the original Airflow was.
