Back in July, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares lamented the poor financial performance of the company and hinted that some of the worse-faring brands might end up sold to a third party or axed altogether.
There were even rumors of a potential buyer interested in the company’s brand portfolio in North America. However, news just came in from the Stellantis press service that the company decided to keep all 14 of its sub-brands – no selling and no liquidation.
Furthermore, a representative of Stellantis said that the conglomerate was determined to keep its vehicle brands alive for at least another decade, as stipulated in its original development strategy. Just how the company plans to sort out the financial troubles of, let’s say, Chrysler, remains to be seen.
