Citroën has teamed up with Pathé, Trésor Films and Editions Albert René to produce a design study of a chariot for the upcoming movie titled Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom, another big-screen adaptation of the 1959 French comic created by editor René Goscinny and caricature artist Albert Uderzo.
As of today, the Asterix saga comprises a total of 15 feature films and animations with over 25 million viewers in France and more than 70 million worldwide.
The chariot features a solid-oak body, a trunk lid made of Gallic steel and firefly-like illumination on the roof. It also flaunts a stylized version of Citroën’s new logo.
