Citroen Ami For All is just a concept at this time, but the manufacturer promises to launch production if it gathers enough positive feedback from wheelchair users.
Compared to the standard Ami, the proposed urban car benefits from a driver’s door that swings open in a much wider angle. It also comes with gear that makes getting in and out of the car easier for wheelchair users and has an aluminum rack on the tailgate where you can attach the wheelchair if not used.
Aside from the above, the car supports using a single hand-controlled lever to accelerate and brake instead of pedals. The steering wheel comes with a special knob that lets you easily rotate the wheel with one hand.
An 8-hp (6-kW) electric motor is used for the propulsion. A single battery charge lasts 70 km (43.5 miles).
