Citroen has released the first image of the battery-powered car for the Old World countries, which is called eC3 and is expected to start under €25,000 when it goes in sale in September.
You may have heard that the French automaker has been producing a hatchback with the same name for India (see video), but the EV for Europe looks drastically different on the preview.
That said, the only thing visible on the photo is crossover-style body outlines with DRLs that look like those on the Citroen Oli Concept. Although the latter was a pickup truck, it could nonetheless share some of its design traits with the eC3.
Rumor has it that the electric car for Europe will ship with two motors to choose from – one rated at 82 PS (81 hp / 60 kW) and the other one at 109 PS (108 hp / 80 kW). According to the same unconfirmed sources, there will be two battery sizes to choose from, the largest of which will translate into 300 km (186 mph) of range.
